The Royal College of Physicians are hosting a night on breathlessness, this will be led by the Life of Breath research team that are investigating why there is a discrepancy between lung function and feelings of breathlessness. There will be short presentations on topics such as characterising pathological breathlessness, and using quantitative technique in measuring/assessing breathlessness. Following this there will be a panel discussion and question and answer session with the experts in the field.
This event will be held on the 11th of July 2019 and will run from 6pm to 7.30pm, at the Royal College of Physicians headquarters in London.
There is also an exhibition in the RCP called ‘Catch Your Breath’ using art and objects from medical history to raise awareness of the issue and dispel any stigma.
