Natalie Chen

Natalie is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ hospitals in London, leading a small team of nurses to provide care and expertise in the management of interstitial lung diseases. Her current areas of interest include the earlier identification of patients whom may be considered candidates for lung transplantation, as well as benchmarking individuals with progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF) to the same care standards as those established in IPF.

Natalie co-ordinates care for patients who require biologic/cytotoxic intravenous therapies within both critical care and a dedicated outpatient infusion suite, as part of GSTT lung inflammation service. She attends weekly severe respiratory failure meetings and several virtual MDTs across the south-east of England to improve working relationships and interdisciplinary support to those involved in caring for ILD patients. Natalie is an independent non-medical prescriber, has completed her MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and is currently undertaking a PgDip in Palliative Care. Natalie joined ILD-IN to collaborate with those who share a tangible passion to progress ILD as a speciality, and the scope of care we are capable of providing within our individual disciplines.
