Andy Bright

Andy Bright is the Community Fundraising Officer at Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF).

In his role, he travels across the UK engaging with support groups, healthcare professionals, faith communities, and local organisations to raise awareness of pulmonary fibrosis.

Andy works closely with fundraisers, supporting them at events and sharing the real-life impact of PF through speeches and community engagement.

Drawing on his own experience with pulmonary fibrosis and life after a double lung transplant, Andy remains deeply connected to the PF community, ensuring their voices and stories are heard.
He left a career in adult social care to dedicate his time to APF, inspired by the support he received and motivated to help further the organisation’s mission.

He has been married for 39 years, has three children, seven grandchildren, four cats and supports Aston Villa
