Earlier this week the Solihull IPF patient support group met in their new home, the local Marie Curie Hospice, for tea and cake, sharing stories and supporting each other.
Patients travelled from Worcester, Hereford, Gloucester and across the city of Birmingham for the event.
Topics that were most discussed were: Oxygen, travel and lung transplants. Our previous chairman Ian returned having had a lung transplantation and gave real hope to many others in the list. Prof Burge and Sr Burge talked about importance of exercise and Dr Furgerson and Sr Ruth shared their hospice story and how they can support patients in the future.
A wonderful afternoon shared by the hospice team and the IPF patients at Solihull all part of IPF week.
