Anne Marie is conducting post-doctoral work at ICHCT exploring the usefulness of Patient Activation Measures in people with Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD). Her doctoral research at the NHLI developed a patient-reported outcome measure for patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF-PRoM© 2018 Imperial Innovations Ltd.) employing patient centred methodology. This 12 item IPF-PRoM is undergoing further validation in UK; US and South American IPF populations; it has been translated into Danish German Spanish and Portuguese and is incorporated in an IPF App ©patientMpower.
Anne-Marie collaborates on studies relating to fibrotic lung conditions and patient-centeredness. She has undertaken service development projects to explore the impact of singing techniques and mindfulness for breath management in patients with ILD.
Anne-Marie represents ILD nursing interests at the programme committee of the American Thoracic Society. She is the chair of the ILD interdisciplinary network and national lead for the ILD Network mentorship programme; secretary to ERS nursing group in Assembly 9 and scientific committee member of the European Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis & Related Disorders Federation. She is the author/co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications on ILD; regularly conducts peer review and works collaboratively across the international ILD community.
